Our recent client in Colleyville, TX knew she wanted a glamorous master suite, complete with a full bath, double vanity, and walk-in closet. The only limitations for her project were the lot line and the pool in the backyard. With this in mind, the idea was to make the addition more linear along the back of the house; the bedroom leading to the large bathroom, and then the closet at the end. This layout allowed the client plenty of space for all the features on her wish list and fit within the allotted construction area.
A home remodeling request we have noticed becoming more popular recently is that of a master suite addition. We often meet with homeowners whose elderly parents are moving in with them or those that absolutely love their home, neighborhood, and community, and simply need more space. Whatever the reason may be, more and more homeowners are considering adding onto their current home instead of moving. While the obvious high cost of a major addition prevents us from completing too many of these types of projects, we do get the opportunity to complete them every now and then, and the clients are always glad they did it at the end!

Our team loves working on out-of-the-ordinary projects! This past month, we completed a unique renovation on a client’s storage shed in Burleson, TX. This old shed was used to house lawn equipment, but our clients hoped to remodel it into a potting shed so they could enjoy their gardening hobby year-round. The Medford Team was not only able to make the shed more functional for the clients but also create a beautiful new aesthetic for the building on their property. Check out the full blog to see the before and after transformation!
Replacing windows is among home maintenance projects that can make a huge impact on both the functionality and the value of your home. As with anything, it’s better to maintain properly working windows and replace them regularly, versus waiting until you have multiple failed windows on your hands! Here are 5 signs of window failure to look out for, via our handyman division, Mike’s Guys:
1. Poor Operation. A common issue with aging windows is that they stick when opening and closing. This is often caused by a balancing issue in which dust, dirt, pollen, or other buildup becomes lodged in the tracks. In some cases, cleaning out the tracks can help with sticking, but usually this is a sign that the window will need to be replaced soon.
