Our April 2021 Newsletter

A galley kitchen remodel can be one of the more challenging home projects if improving storage space or changing the layout is the end goal. The limited space in these types of kitchens often prevents major structural changes from being made. Luckily, small changes can still make a big impact! Our recent client in Fort Worth wanted to breathe new life into her narrow 1960’s galley kitchen without sacrificing valuable countertop and cabinet space. Our team was able to identify the changes that could be made to improve storage, functionality, and overall aesthetic. The finished renovation is exactly what our client had in mind! Check out this amazing transformation in this month’s project blog. Read more

Salvation Army “Rescue Christmas” Donation Drive

This year has undoubtedly been full of surprises, struggles, and unexpected outcomes for many across the US and the world. With the holidays just around the corner, it’s fair to say that we could all benefit from sharing some kindness and lending a helping hand to others. The Medford Team is always happy to promote local community or charity events providing opportunities to help those in need!

With a slight change in protocol due to COVID-19, the Salvation Army is taking their holiday donation drive virtual this year. Helping others is as easy as a tap or swipe on your smart device. This is great news – the foundation says it could serve up to 155 percent more people in 2020 around the holidays, but due to the closing of retail stores, the increasing unemployment rates, consumers carrying less cash and coins, and the decline in foot traffic, they could see up to a 50 percent decrease in funds raised through their iconic Red Kettles. In order to compensate, the Salvation Army is hosting their “Rescue Christmas” Donation Drive, now through late December. Supporters can now donate digitally with Apple Pay or Google Pay at any Red Kettle across the country. They can also ask Amazon Alexa to donate by saying, “Alexa, donate to The Salvation Army,” then specifying the amount. Or, give any amount by texting “KETTLE” to 91999. Red Kettles and bell ringers are not disappearing; they will follow nationally mandated safety protocols, the organization says. And Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program will continue, with gift drop-offs at locations like Galleria Dallas, done in socially distanced ways. Read more

Our October 2020 Newsletter

There are a lot of variables that go into building an addition on a home —  the property lines, drainage, the roof tie-in, and of course, ensuring that the addition will match the existing structure architecturally and aesthetically. Each of these, among other important items, were carefully addressed for our recent carport addition project in Arlington.

Our team not only wanted to make sure that the project was done correctly and to code, but also that it solved the client’s dilemmas regarding storage space, a shelter for their cars, and a place to house their exotic plants during the winter. The solution was to convert the existing garage into a storage room and add a luxurious carport to the spacious driveway. The finished project is absolutely stunning and meets all of the client’s needs! Read more
