Reminiscing on some of our favorite projects from the last 12 months, this trendy kitchen we remodeled in South Arlington was at the top of the list. Our clients came to us with hopes of refreshing the 1978 kitchen with a more modern look, patterned tile, and a black-and-white color scheme. Not only were the aesthetics improved, but we were able to provide the clients with more usable space by removing a large walk-in pantry and bar area. Additional counter space, cabinetry, and a beverage center were added — just what this kitchen needed! Check out the full story and before and after photos on our blog post!
The term ‘design-build’ is slowly becoming more familiar in the world of home remodeling. In the past, if someone wanted to remodel their home, they would contact a general contractor and an architect. While contractors alone can do a lot of great work, they simply do not offer the many benefits that you would receive from working with a design-build firm, such as Medford Design-Build.
Here are 5 benefits of working with a design-build for your major home remodeling project:
Small spaces often get neglected when it comes to remodeling; in reality, small rooms can have the biggest transformations! Our recent clients in Fort Worth had two small bathrooms in lieu of one large master bath. Although the rooms were compact and the floor plans couldn’t change, our designers were able to implement some significant modifications to make both of the bathrooms feel larger, brighter, and more modern. See the final results in our featured project blog for this month!
It’s interesting how home remodeling trends change throughout the years. What we have noticed recently is the growing popularity of gray and white color schemes in combination with a streamlined look. This specific trend can really transform a dated, drab kitchen (as seen in many of our past projects!) However, that doesn’t mean it should be the go-to design for all interiors. Based on the homeowner’s taste and the aesthetic of the rest of the house, there are still many instances in which a remodel leans toward the more classic, traditional side. Of course, our team is always happy to accommodate and help bring our client’s dreams to life! Our recent kitchen project in Arlington is a great example of how a traditional design can still have a modern, elegant feel. The finished product is a complete transformation from the original, with a truly timeless aesthetic our clients will appreciate for years. Adding a room to your home is a great way to create more usable space. Our recent clients in Fort Worth knew they wanted to include a game room addition as a part of their whole house remodel. Luckily, they had a spacious backyard with plenty of room for a detached structure! Check out our featured project blog for the month to see this unique project built from the ground up.
Our recent clients in Fort Worth dreamt of a custom game room addition… and the Medford Team delivered!
Farmhouse-style interiors have become one of the most popular requests among homeowners looking to remodel. Our recent clients in Fort Worth, TX, love the trend and wanted to incorporate it into their kitchen. The real fun was creating a cohesive color scheme that would fit with the rest of the house and still allow the farmhouse style to shine. The result was a beautiful blue-themed kitchen that reflected the client’s fun personality and contributed to a cohesive flow of color throughout the house. Oftentimes, in small-scale renovations, the project evolves into something bigger before it’s all said and done. Such was the case for our recent clients in Arlington, TX. They initially wanted their kitchen to be minimally updated — new paint, tile, and countertops — while keeping the existing cabinets. After a few discussions with our designers, they instead chose to remodel the space in its entirety in order to bring their dream kitchen to life. While it ended up being a larger project than they initially planned, the final result provided what they really wanted, and they couldn’t be happier with it! See the whole story in our featured project blog for this month.
Our project spotlight this month is a stunning lakeside kitchen remodel we completed in Arlington, TX. Our client’s beautiful 1970’s home had been updated throughout, with the kitchen being one of the last spaces that needed refreshing. Because the original layout wasn’t going to change, it was very important that the features included were impactful in regard to functionality and aesthetic. Both our clients and our team are thrilled with the finished product! See the full story and the transformation photos in our blog post.
Do you have a space that would make more sense with a different layout, or swapped with another room in your home? Such was the case for our recent clients in Keller, TX. Their existing laundry room was in a small, crowded room just off the garage, which made it difficult to use the washer and dryer without being in the way of the door. From the time they purchased the home several years ago, they thought it would be much more functional to have the laundry room in place of the larger mudroom/playroom that was just on the other side of the wall. Turns out, they were absolutely right! Our team was able to help them swap these two spaces, resulting in more functional, usable rooms. Take a look at the blog post to see the transformation!
