DFW Disc Golf Center of Arlington and the City of Grand Prairie are hosting the second annual ‘Feed the Homeless’ Christmas Blanket Drive Disc Golf Tournament, coming up in November. The Medford Team loves to share local events purposed with helping our community. This month, we are sharing the 6th annual Arlington ISD Back to School Kickoff! This is wonderful event aims to help struggling families obtain necessary school supplies for their children for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Jaxon Anthony Memorial Foundation 9th Annual Clay Shooting Tournament

There is something to be said about non-profit organizations that selflessly offer a helping hand to those in need. At Medford Design-Build, we aim to support these local organizations by spreading awareness of their upcoming fundraising events.

This month, we would like to spotlight the Jaxon Anthony Memorial Foundation of Mansfield, TX. This heartfelt organization was created to honor the memory of Jeffrey and Ashley Arnold’s son, Jaxon Anthony Arnold, who was born and passed on July 9, 2012. The foundation gives financial support to families suffering an unexpected infant loss or stillbirth by assisting with the infant burial costs at Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield, where Jaxon was laid to rest. The Keep Fort Worth Beautiful foundation is hosting the 34th annual Cowtown Great American Cleanup, coming up on March 30th! Each year, thousands of volunteers – including organizations, businesses, and individuals – come together to pick up litter from local parks, streets, creeks, and other public areas. In 2018, these hard-working volunteers removed over 140,000 pounds of trash from their communities!
 
 
You can select from a list of cleanup locations or choose your own (within the City of Fort Worth) and then register as an individual or as a group. All registrants will receive gloves and bags. T-shirts are limited to the first 7,000 registrants.

Celebrating the Second Annual Cowtown Cook-Off

Here at Medford Remodeling, we take great pride in supporting and giving back to the DFW community. It is encouraging to hear about the positive impact local associations, such as the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Fort Worth, make in the lives of our youth. Serving over 14,000 children and young adults, the Boys & Girls Club has seven branch locations, all aiming to enrich the lives of disadvantaged individuals through skill-developing programs.

You can be a part of this great effort by attending the second annual Cowtown Cook-Off & Casino at the Fort Worth Stock Yards on Friday, October 17th! Come out and enjoy a hot and spicy chili competition put on by the Panther Club and benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Worth! From 5:30 PM to 11 PM, you can indulge in tasty chili prepared by multiple teams, vote for the best and wash it down with ice-cold brew, wine and margaritas. The event is complete with a J.R. Ewing Whiskey Bar, Poo Live Crew, dancing, a casino, an auction and more. It’s a fun way to spend your Friday night while supporting your community, and all proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth. Read more
