A Bright Dining Room Refresh in Fort Worth

One of the primary goals of our recent whole-house remodel in Fort Worth, Texas, was to create a brighter, more open floor plan throughout the entire home.  A big contributor to achieving this goal was to renovate the dining room, which is in the direct line of sight upon entering the front door. The original room included a large window overlooking the backyard and providing plenty of natural light that our designers wanted to emphasize. Our clients loved the idea of streamlining the design and refreshing the dining room as a whole. Read more

Mike’s Guys: 5 Steps to Remove Wallpaper

Although wallpaper seems to be making somewhat of a comeback, removing it is something we almost always do when remodeling a space that is wallpapered. In most cases, homeowners prefer to have all wallpaper removed to allow for the more modern aesthetic of paint. Unfortunately, in many older homes, wallpaper was applied on every wall of a room, so even if new wallpaper was going to be laid over one wall to provide a decorative accent, three other walls would still need to be scraped and prepped for paint! While not impossible, the task of removing wallpaper can be tedious, messy, and time-consuming. Read more

A Grand Prairie Kitchen Renovation with Farmhouse Charm

It’s always fun for our designers to look back on a completed project and remember how the space was the first time we saw it. In review of this kitchen remodel in Grand Prairie, our Senior Designer mentioned that “there were a lot of small problems within this space, but they were easy to solve.” Issues like lack of storage or counter space, poor layout, insufficient lighting, and dated aesthetic were among the list of things the clients brought up in our first meeting with them. They had a general idea in mind of how they wanted the new kitchen to look but were unsure of the specifics needed to get there. After talking through the detailed pain points the clients had with their existing kitchen, our designers got to work creating visual concepts for the renovated space. A Modern Jack & Jill Bathroom Refresh in Southlake

Every so often, we have clients that come to us for the design of their project and then wait a while to pull the trigger on the construction portion. This delay can be for a number of reasons – waiting for a specific event or holiday to pass, a recent change in career, or trying to make final decisions on the last few design options. Whatever the case may be, we are always happy when clients come back to us after an extended period of time with the intent to move forward. Our recent clients in Southlake, Texas, initially met with us in 2019 to discuss the renovation of an upstairs Jack & Jill bathroom. The project was intended for their daughter, who was in high school at the time, and wanted to refresh the space. While they waited almost two years to proceed with construction after the design was drawn, the timing was perfect for the daughter, who is now going into her senior year of high school. Of course, our team was happy for the opportunity to bring their designs to life! See the full story on our blog. Read more

A 1970’s Kitchen Gets a Glamorous Refresh

Our recent clients in Arlington had lived in their 1970’s home for many years and were ready to revamp the dated kitchen. The idea was not only to have a brighter, more modern-looking aesthetic but also to improve the functionality of the room. Cabinet storage, counter space, and a more functional layout overall were big considerations when it came to designing the new area. One of the first items on their wish list was to have a more open, flowing floor plan between the kitchen, dining, and living room. Check out the full project blog here. Read more

A Cozy Country Kitchen

Renovating a home to better meet the needs of the homeowner is a rewarding process in itself, but creating a little something special for the homeowner within the remodel is the icing on the cake! For our recent clients in Burleson, Texas, the little something special was a custom coffee bar that was included as a part of their kitchen remodel. Adding a coffee bar and morning sitting room was at the top of their wish list, which they expressed to our designers during their initial consultation. Our team wanted to be sure to bring their dreams to life while also making improvements to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the kitchen. Check out the full story on our blog post.
