A Stunning Laundry Room / Mudroom Swap in Keller, TX

Do you have two rooms in your home that just seem like they should be swapped? Our recent clients in Keller, Texas, have a beautiful home that was built in 2002. The original laundry room came directly off the garage and was very small, creating a bottleneck of thru traffic. The room also lacked counter space and sufficient storage. Neighboring this tiny laundry room was a much larger room that the previous owner had used as a music room for her piano. Because the clients have two young children, this room became a playroom and makeshift mudroom to store shoes, jackets, and miscellaneous items. From the time the clients moved into the home 4 years ago, they both felt that it made more sense for the larger room to be the laundry room, leaving the smaller room off the garage as a mudroom. They came to us with their issue and the idea of swapping the spaces, and our designers got to work conceptualizing the new floor plan. Read more

3 Options for Completing a Pull-and-Replace Kitchen Remodel with Mike’s Guys

As our business continues to grow alongside our expanding client base, we have found that there are many homeowners looking to complete a kitchen remodel in which no walls or plumbing will be moved. We refer to these types of remodels as “pull-and-replace” projects, where the existing footprint stays the same. Original cabinets, countertops, backsplash, etc. are removed and replaced with new materials, but in the same location. Due to the simple nature of these types of projects, they do not require the full design package that would accompany a more complex kitchen remodel. Read more

Our April 2022 Newsletter

Our project spotlight this month features our recent 1978 kitchen renovation in South Arlington. Our clients had long-awaited updating this space and knew just what they wanted in regard to colors and style. One thing they hadn’t considered was removing a large walk-in pantry and an unused bar area. This modification not only made the kitchen more spacious but also created additional countertop and storage space that they didn’t know they needed. The finished project looks just as our designers drew it in the floor plans and 3D renderings — a modern, trendy kitchen to match the rest of the client’s lovely home! The Whole House Design Process

A whole house remodel is a great option for homeowners that are ready to refresh their entire home in one project. This can include renovating all bathrooms, the kitchen, the fireplace, the windows, interior and exterior doors, paint and trim, flooring, lighting, and more. With the current boom in the housing market, it is becoming increasingly difficult to purchase a house due to the number of buyers vs sellers. Homeowners are opting to invest their money into their existing home by remodeling instead of moving. Not only can this option modify your home’s functionality to better meet your needs, but remodeling can also make your home feel like new – you’d be surprised at the possibilities when it comes to redesigning! If your home could use a significant facelift in more than one area, a whole house design package might be an option worth considering. Read more
