A Stunning Laundry Room / Mudroom Swap in Keller

Do you have two rooms in your home that just seem like they should be swapped? Our recent clients in Keller, Texas, have a beautiful home that was built in 2002. The original laundry room came directly off the garage and was very small, creating a bottleneck of thru traffic. The room also lacked counter space and sufficient storage. Neighboring this tiny laundry room was a much larger room that the previous owner had used as a music room for her piano. Because the clients have two young children, this room became a playroom and makeshift mudroom to store shoes, jackets, and miscellaneous items. From the time the clients moved into the home 4 years ago, they both felt that it made more sense for the larger room to be the laundry room, leaving the smaller room off the garage as a mudroom. They came to us with their issue and the idea of swapping the spaces, and our designers got to work conceptualizing the new floor plan. See the full story in our blog post. Read more

Trendy Design Selections Refresh a 1978 Kitchen

Our recent clients in Arlington, Texas, came to us with plans to renovate their dated 1978 kitchen for a more modern, personalized aesthetic. They had given much thought to the project and were certain a full-gut was the way to go. After some discussion with our team, the clients were excited to have our Designers draw up plans and renderings to provide a clear visual of the transformation.

The floor plans were especially helpful in communicating the structural changes in regard to an existing walk-in pantry and bar area that were to be removed. Initially, the clients intended to leave these areas there, but doing so would require them to be updated with new cabinets, paint, and countertops to match the new kitchen. After going through a few different layout options, the decision was made to fully demolish these areas, allowing for additional counter and storage space in the kitchen and a much needed under-stair storage closet in place of the bar. A 90’s Master Bath gets a Spa-Inspired Remodel

The kitchen may be the ‘heart of the home,’ but the master bath is the grand retreat – the place you go to unwind after a long day, to treat yourself for a job well done, or to give yourself some ‘me’ time after tending to kids or a busy schedule. There are few things more rewarding than a quiet, serene space to relax. This is one of the big reasons master bathroom remodels are so highly sought after among homeowners! Our recent client in Flower Mound, Texas, felt the same way. Her master bathroom was over 20 years old needed a renovation to better serve as an at-home escape. She came to us with hopes of recreating the space into something she had always wanted; something she could enjoy for years to come. Read more

A Builder-Grade Master Bathroom Gets A Modern Upgrade

Our recent clients in Keller, Texas, had a beautiful home built in 2005. Being newer than many of the homes we remodel, it was surprising to see how badly the master bathroom needed a renovation! Unfortunately, builders often use poor-quality materials when constructing a new house in order to save a buck (hints the negative term “builder-grade”), putting the homeowners in need of a remodel sooner rather than later. While this original bathroom was functional, the space was poorly utilized and lacked emphasis on the features that really mattered to our clients. A spacious shower, a tub they would actually use, ample storage space, and a modern aesthetic were all items that needed to be addressed. The clients came to us with their concerns, and our team got started on a custom design package for this unique project. Read more
