A Colleyville, TX Home Office Conversion & Bathroom Addition
For this busy Colleyville, TX family, comfort and functionality topped the wish list when it came time to reimagine their downstairs space. With one homeowner working from home full-time and a formal living room that sat mostly unused, transforming that space into a dedicated home office was an easy decision.

One of the biggest pain points:
The only bathroom available for guests downstairs was the one inside the guest suite, which also serves as the “pool bath”. The homeowners wanted to make sure guests had a convenient powder bath that wasn’t part of a bedroom, while still keeping the guest suite private and ready for overnight visitors.

The new plan:
Rather than build an addition, the remodel focused on rethinking what was already there:
- We converted the formal living room into a beautiful home office enclosed with a hand forged grid glass wall from the Durango Doors Millennium Door series to keep the space bright yet private.
- Added a new powder bathroom, thoughtfully designed within the existing footprint, no new square footage required.

Hard at Work
Our team carefully transformed this underused room into a practical, polished office… all while staying within the home’s existing footprint. On-site professional project management guided each phase to ensure the remodel stayed on schedule and ran smoothly.
Of course, remodels like this require the proper permits and inspections, giving the homeowners peace of mind that everything was completed safely, met current code requirements, and was built to last.

Design Details
Our in-house interior designer worked closely with the homeowners to create a look that feels modern yet blends beautifully with the rest of the home. From the first sketches to the final staging, our team oversees every detail.

Style & Finishes
The powder bath now features a bold, moody wallpaper that makes the small space feel special. White and gray granite countertops tie back to the kitchen’s palette, while sleek cabinetry painted using Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black keeps the look crisp and dramatic.

The new office includes a custom built-in with hidden storage and just enough open display space. Stained wood accents on the shelves and mantel add warmth and timeless character.

Special Touches
-
Custom Grid Glass Wall:
The new custom grid glass wall and door for the office were selected in bronze to coordinate with the existing oil-rubbed bronze hardware throughout the home.
-
Seamless Hardwood Flooring:
Existing custom hardwood floors remained in place and flow seamlessly into the new office.
-
Fresh Finishes:
Entry and hallway areas got fresh paint and updated trim to match the new look.
-
Warm White Oak:
Beautiful white oak accents were used for the office shelves and mantel, adding natural warmth and character to the space.
