Last Friday, Cody and I attended the North Texas Gas and Oil Crawfish Boil and Poker Tournament. This is an annual event that benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and, as always, was a great one.
I’m always happy to be a part of helping out the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. For over 100 years, they have been dedicated to helping young people prosper by providing safe, educational programs and activities with positive reinforcement. I remember fondly attending Boys and Girls Clubs events as a youth, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity. I like seeing today’s young people continue to have the same opportunity. If you would also like to help this great organization, go to www.fortworthkids.org/ to volunteer, donate, and read about how you can help impact the lives of today’s youth.
The North Texas Oil and Gas community are a hardworking, fun-loving bunch that do know how to throw a party. In addition to helping out the Boys and Girls Clubs, this event allows the corporate partners to showcase products and provides an excellent networking platform. The poker tournament was run by Taylor Spence, owner of Elite Poker Parties. I’ve played in several tournaments organized by Taylor over the years and he always has a well-managed and fun game. To find out where he is having tournaments, or how to hire him for your own tournament, contact him at 817-726-3721 or Elite Poker Parties on Facebook
I hope to see you there next year!
