Our June 2019 Newsletter

Our featured project this month involved solving a problem many work-from-home individuals face: not having a designated home office to work from each day. Our recent clients in Southlake had a large upstairs bonus room we were able to convert to a spacious home office and loft area for their kids to enjoy. We also updated the staircase, the kitchenette, and the guest bath, along with all of the paint and flooring, resulting in an entirely renovated upstairs space. Mike’s Guys Tip: 3 Options for Getting Rid of Popcorn Ceilings

One of the top requests we get from our clients – whether they are remodeling their current home or have recently moved into an older house – is to have the popcorn ceilings removed.

These textured ceilings, also known as popcorn ceilings, acoustic ceilings or even cottage cheese ceilings, were very popular in the 1970s and ’80s as a quick and easy way to hide imperfections. Unfortunately, this texture can be very difficult to match if you have cracks or holes in need of patching. The uneven surface also catches more dust, allows for cobwebs, and really makes a home’s interior look stale and dated. These reasons alone are enough to make a homeowner opt for removing the texture! This is why we include popcorn ceiling removal in just about every home remodeling project we complete. Read more

Our May 2019 Newsletter

Every now and then, we like to feature one of our older projects in our monthly newsletter to relive the transformation and showcase the project to our growing mailing list. It’s hard to believe this Grand Prairie kitchen remodel was completed just over 2 years ago! At the time, our clients needed a more functional kitchen with increased storage space, an improved layout, and of course, an updated aesthetic! Check out the blog to see how our designers recreated this space for a stunning, functional finished product! Our April 2019 Newsletter

This month’s project spotlight is on our recently completed 1990’s master bathroom remodel in North Richland Hills. The original bathroom was very dated (we’re talking pink wallpaper!) and was way past due for a refresh. The updated design includes custom vanities, a frameless glass shower, a 60″ drop-in soaker tub, LED can lighting, and more! Check out the blog for the full details of this beautiful remodel!

Hardwood Flooring vs. Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring

Just about every major remodeling project we complete includes replacing the existing flooring, either in the remodeled area or throughout the entire home. Flooring selection is a big decision that can influence the overall cost, installation time, and lifespan of the remodel as a whole. A common question we receive from our clients is which is a better choice – classic hardwoods or luxury vinyl plank? The two are very comparable and make excellent options for hard surface flooring depending on what the individual homeowners prefer.

In order to best compare the two, we suggest taking into account 4 major qualities of hard surfacing flooring:

Our recent clients loved to socialize and host get-togethers with large groups of people. Unfortunately, the layout of their original 1990’s home just wasn’t suitable for their needs. Along with renovating the kitchen and opening up the floor plan, we were able to convert their original formal dining room into a stunning home bar, perfect for entertaining! Check out the details of this project on our blog!

Our recent Southlake project involved updating both the aesthetic appeal and the functional design of our client’s kitchen, formal dining room, formal living room, and breakfast area to create a more open-concept floor plan. This was a pretty extensive project, resulting in a huge transformation! Our December 2018 Newsletter

Our featured project this month is a 1970’s kitchen that was past due for some updates! The original 1970’s kitchen was large and had a lot of available cabinet space that our clients wanted to take full advantage of. Incorporating pull-out drawers in place of the deep lower cabinets has made it significantly easier to access stored items below the counter. Other updates included removing low-hanging soffits from the ceiling, replacing the lighting, installing new flooring, painting the walls and ceiling, and more. See the blog for the details of this beautiful transformation! Read more
