Believe it or not, door installations are one of the more complex projects that we do. You might think it’s simple to swap out an existing door for a new one, but there truly is a lot of detail that goes into it. Over the years, our team has perfected the task to a seamless process. Here are some of our favorite door installation projects we have completed:
Decorative Iron Entry Doors
Decorative iron doors are a popular choice for clients looking to improve the exterior of their home. These beautiful doors come in a wide variety of styles and finishes and can make a stunning first impression. Not only do they provide wow-factor curb appeal, but they also add value to your home and improve security.
Our recent clients loved the look of decorative iron but didn’t want an entire entry door made of it. Instead, they chose a custom-made mahogany door, beautifully stained, and topped off with iron accents. It turned out great and really made a difference in the appearance of their home!
Sliding Interior Doors
Our recent clients in Grapevine wanted a way to close off their sunroom from the formal dining room without losing the natural light it provided. They provided us an inspiration photo and we were able to install a wall with identical sliding glass doors and luxury vinyl plank flooring in the newly created hallway. The sliding doors can be partially open, completely open, or completely closed, allowing the clients to better utilize the space to meet their needs. The best part is that the new hallway and doors match the interior so well, it looks as though they have always been there!
French Patio Doors
Installing a door in an exterior wall where there is not an existing door is a pretty big project, both in cost and process, but it can reap great benefits. Our clients in Arlington are a great example. They had a decent sized area on the side of their home that they never used and thought it would be the perfect space for a patio. Adding French doors from the living room to the new patio created a convenient access point and allowed a ton of natural light into the living room. The new outdoor space is great for hosting guests or just enjoying on a sunny day.
Sliding Barn Doors
Barn doors are becoming a very popular request among homeowners. While they do require a fair amount of wall space to function, they slide open from side to side instead of opening outward into the room, which is great if you have large furniture or a smaller room in general. Because they are hung at the top on a single track, you don’t have to worry about jams or future alignment issues from foundation shifts as you might with pocket doors or traditional doors. Barn doors can also add a whole new design aesthetic to a space, as they come in an endless variety of styles and colors. Our Production Manager and Co-Owner, Michael, is very creative and talented when it comes to building custom barn doors for our clients!
