Expanded Kitchen and Dining Room

This client has lived in the same home for 46 years. She loves her home, and plans to live there the rest of her life. She also has a large family and loves to entertain. Unfortunately, her kitchen was tiny, and very closed off from the rest of the house. The crammed, dated kitchen desperately needed a new look! With the help of our designers and craftsmen, this client now has the gorgeous, open kitchen that she’s always dreamed of!

BEFORE: This photo shows how narrow our client’s original kitchen was. Not only was there limited space for standing, but also limited counter and storage space

BEFORE: This is the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining room – the culprit of this closed-off kitchen!

BEFORE: The client longed for more counter space, an open bar area for additional seating, more cabinets, new floors, and new appliances.

BEFORE: Here is the wall which closed off the dining room from the living area. The doorway to the kitchen is just to the left, and the door shown here goes to the backyard. This wall definitely added to the boxed-in, closed-off feel of this home.

Here is the floor plan we created for the remodeled space. As you can see, the dining and living room become one open, flowing space,, and the kitchen now has a view of the entire room!

Here are the 3D renderings we created for our client based on her wants and needs for her new kitchen.

All of the cabinets, appliances and flooring were also removed, along with the doorway to the backyard. The windows shown here in the dining room were to be replaced with beautiful new doors.

Installation of the new cabinets really brought the remodeled kitchen to life – it wasn’t long before the kitchen would be complete!

Beautiful! The completed kitchen and open dining room!

The kitchen’s gorgeous new cabinets compliment the colors in the counter and backsplash, as well as the new stainless steel appliances.

What a difference removing a couple of walls makes!

The client also had a microwave drawer installed in her new peninsula. This feature provides for extra counter space, less clutter, is easily accessible, and slides open and closed with the touch of a button!

To match her stainless steel fridge, dishwasher and microwave, our client also had a new range oven and vent hood installed. She absolutely loves it!
