The decision to remodel can be a very exciting time for a homeowner, particularly if it is something that has been anticipated for several years. It’s easy to jump in and hire the first company you run across that seems professional. Unfortunately, there are a lot of so-called “professionals” out there that don’t operate with integrity or honesty in mind, despite making a great first impression. Trust us, we’ve seen enough home renovation nightmares to know that it’s not something to rush into blindly! It’s essential to take your time and really research a company before signing on the dotted line. The best advice we can give to a homeowner considering a remodel is to hire a company with a consistent reputation.
At Medford Design-Build, we take our reputation seriously. Each member of our team works hard to provide the best possible service to every client, reflecting our company values and dedication to excellence. The result is a solid reputation across the board:
The Popular Vote
Medford Design-Build has been voted “Tops in Tarrant: #1 Best in Industry: Renovations” by the readers of Society Life Magazine for the fourth consecutive year. It is an honor to be chosen by the community of Northeast Tarrant County as the best local remodeler. We are so thankful for the recognition of our Colleyville office and hope to continue building great relationships with our clients in that area.
Probably the most common approach to researching a company nowadays is to check its reviews on Google. Our consistent 5-star Google reviews are a true point of pride for our team. The fact that so many of our clients are willing to post about their positive experiences online speaks volumes about their sincerity and genuine satisfaction.
Right alongside Google, we see consistent 5-star reviews on Houzz.com, as well as a 5-star rating on Facebook, and multiple recommendations on NextDoor. It’s encouraging to read review after review complimenting the quality of work, attention to detail, respectful demeanor, ownership, organized process, time management, and overall outcome of individual projects.
For 8 years, Medford Design-Build has received ‘Best of Houzz’ awards on Houzz.com. These awards feature two categories: Design & Service. The Design award is exclusive to only 3% of the more than 2.5 million active home professionals on Houzz. It is awarded to professionals whose photos are saved a specific number of times to users’ ideabooks. These ideabooks can then be used as references or inspiration for the user’s own home projects. Our top photos have over 10,000 saves!
The Service award reflects when a Houzz Professional receives the top number of reviews for their service area. With a total of 24 reviews, each of them being 5-stars, our team is proud to have received this award!
A Growing List of References
Some of the best advice we can give to those planning to remodel their home is to call up your potential contractor’s past clients for an honest-to-goodness conversation. We believe in this method so much that we encourage all of our clients to call at least three of our past clients to do so. We provide a list of 200+ references, including the city and the type of remodel that was completed, so our clients can get an honest, unbiased opinion of other’s experiences with us. You should always, always ask your potential contractor for a list of references. If they are as confident in their work as they claim to be, they should have no problem providing a list of past clients for you to interview.
Repeat Customers and Referrals
At Medford Design-Build, about 70% of our client base consists of repeat clients and referrals. If customers come back to a business time and time again, and those same customers consistently refer their friends, family, and co-workers, it’s a pretty strong indicator that the business does quality work! It is yet another point of pride for our team that our Owners, Project Managers, Designers, Draftsmen, and office staff alike continue to build strong personal relationships with our clients. After all, if you’re going to have people work in your home, they should feel like family, right?
If you are planning a remodeling project for your home, whether big or small, we encourage you to do your research and seek out a truly qualified professional. A good reputation is hard to come by, as it can take years and years to build. The Medford Team has dedicated our 30+ years in business to establishing and maintaining a solid reputation, which we intend to keep!
