A Man Cave is a room or area within a home where a person (I don’t see “Man” Cave as gender- or age-specific. Anyone can have a “Man” Cave) can pursue recreational activities or hobbies or just relax. I’ve designed and built hundreds of them over the past 30 years for all types of uses; entertaining, study, exercise, relaxing, trains, collections, mechanic shops, show car rooms, office, sewing rooms, pets, martial arts, yoga, poker, and a whole lot of other things, including a couple I probably shouldn’t mention!!
This past weekend, I was invited to attend an afternoon wine tasting social, and I saw one of the coolest Man Caves I’ve seen in a while. It consisted of a garage with an awesome wine cellar and sitting area!
It’s fitting to have an ornamental iron entrance to guard the cave. Just inside is the sitting room, complete with paneling made from corks.
A great place to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the Rangers game!
The wine cooler has all the
equipment to maintain the perfect temperature, humidity and light.
This has inspired us to put up a Man Cave page on our website. I’ll let you know when it’s posted so you can see some we’ve built over the years. In the meantime, if you have a Man Cave, please send me a picture so we can include it!
