This year has been a difficult one for many families across Texas, the US, and around the world. The uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unprecedented loss of jobs, creating an unexpected struggle for many families. Each month, we like to share local community events and services that benefit those in need. This month, we’re spotlighting Just Between Friends (JBF) – a pop-up consignment shop with a commitment to helping families access clothing and other items for their children at an affordable price. Shoppers can find clothing, shoes, nursery gear, bath time essentials, safety must-haves, swings, bouncy chairs, strollers, highchairs, pack’n’plays, and more at a fraction of the cost in most retail stores.
Coming up in October, JBF is offering special hours to allow pre-registered shoppers a chance to come in before the store is open to the public. This is a great opportunity to get the essentials you need for your children without stressing about the cost during this difficult time.
JBF is also assisting families by offering consignment services. If you have gently used children’s items, you are welcome to consign them to the store and profit from your sales, turning your ‘kid’s clutter into cash!’
This event is taking place Thursday, October 15 – Sunday, October 18, at Lincoln Square in Arlington: 780 E. Road to Six Flags, Unit 2262, Arlington, TX 76011.
Presale day is Wednesday, October 14, with special hours for first-time parents, grandparents, foster/adoptive parents, first responders, teachers, daycare, and homeschool workers.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the sale and are rewarded with early access to the shop! 12-hour, 8-hour, and 4-hour team members are needed for the specified days; it’s a great way to give back and contribute to this special cause.
