A 1961 Guest Bathroom Gets a New Personality

After renovating our Arlington client’s kitchen a few years ago, she recently reached out to us to tackle another home remodeling project – her guest bathroom. Our team was elated to hear from her again, and we couldn’t wait to get started!

As a ‘pull-and-replace’ project, changing the layout to improve the functionality of the room was not a concern. The emphasis was instead on replacing the dated features with new ones in the exact same location. These features included the bathtub, faucets, cabinets, countertop, mirror, and decorative lighting. With these updates, the bathroom would feel brand new, but keep the same layout and square footage it always had. Read more

A Nature-Inspired Guest Bathroom Renovation

There are typically two types of homeowners we work with: those that buy a newer home and want to remodel it promptly before moving in, and those that buy an older home with the intention of updating it over the span of several years. The latter describes our long-time clients in Fort Worth, TX.

The home was built in the 1950’s, and our clients moved in about 20 years ago with hopes to make it uniquely theirs a little bit at a time. Our team remodeled their kitchen first, and then added on a master bathroom at the back of the house more recently. This year, the clients were ready to address the guest bathroom that had been at the bottom of their list for quite some time. See the full story on this project on our blog. Read more

An Open & Airy Guest Bath Suited for Two

Guest bathroom remodels are frequently among the top items on our client’s wish lists. It might not seem as important as the kitchen or the master bathroom, but when you consider that the guest bathroom is what all of your guests use upon visiting your home, you can’t help but want it to look nice. On top of aesthetic appeal, you also want the space to be functional. In many cases, the homes that we remodel are at least 20-30 years old, and the bathrooms are not only outdated, but also have plumbing issues, poor lighting, broken or missing tile, and eroded fixtures – not ideal for guests or prolonged visitors! Our recent clients in Arlington, Texas had similar issues and chose to include the guest bathroom remodel with some other projects we were completing throughout their home. See the blog post here. Another option to improve the lighting and atmosphere of a dim bathroom is to include a window into the design. Adding windows to a room is a great way to let in natural light and make the space feel larger.
