Tornado Shelter

Living in Texas, you never know what the weather might do. These clients chose to have a tornado shelter installed in their garage floor. Hopefully they won’t have to use it, but what a comfortable feeling they must have, knowing they have someplace safe to go if a tornado does bear down on them.

Though the concrete was surprisingly thick, it was easy digging after that!

Once the initial concrete was cut away, the rest of the hole was completed.

This is the storm shelter that was to be installed.

The shelter is in the hole, ready for city inspection and then concrete.

Concrete is poured around the storm shelter, and finished nicely.
