Attention all dog-lovers! Don’t miss the upcoming “Trick or Trot” 5k Run/Walk hosted by the Humane Society of North Texas! This is great excuse to dress up yourself and your dog and get active—all while supporting a great cause.

The timed 5K run or untimed 1-mile walk and fun run will be dog-friendly, so be sure to bring your fur-baby along! This Halloween-themed event will feature awards for the top finishers in male and female in the 5K run in each age group, vendor booths, music, and more.

All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of North Texas, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves more than 25,000 North Texas animals annually.

The run is taking place Saturday, October 19, 2019 at MUTTS Canine Cantina: 5317 Clearfork Main Street in Fort Worth, TX 76109.

About The Humane Society of North Texas (Via hsnt.org)

HSNT’s mission is to act as an advocate on behalf of all animals and to ensure their legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection; to provide for the well-being of animals who are abandoned, injured, neglected, mistreated or otherwise in need; to promote an appreciation of animals; and to instill respect for all living things.

The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need.  HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries, and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations and humane euthanasia.  HSNT operates four pet adoption centers in Tarrant County, as well as an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.

So far this year, HSNT has made these great contributions in saving and enhancing the lives of animals:
