One of the greatest benefits of hiring a design-build firm for your major remodel is professional project management. Even for a small project, there are so many moving parts! Timelines that must be coordinated, design details that must be relayed, schedules that must be confirmed, and budgets that must be followed, are just a few of the many items on a Production Manager’s plate. Not to mention the level of quality control that comes into play, along with the management of individual Project Managers, Carpenters, and Trade Partners. As you can imagine, it can be very challenging to juggle so many tasks for multiple projects simultaneously. It truly takes a special type of person to fill this role and do it well! If you didn’t already guess it, our team member spotlight this quarter is our talented, one-of-a-kind Production Manager, Dave Broadfield!
Dave has worked with the Medford Team since 2007 and is a Master Carpenter. He plays a critical role in ensuring our projects are completed on time, to the highest level of quality, and that our clients remain content throughout the entirety of the remodel.
Although rare, not all remodeling projects go as planned. Even with every detail thought out and planned for, unexpected challenges can arise. Dave is responsible for identifying unexpected complications, seeking immediate solutions, and communicating with our clients to always keep them informed of any changes to production and timeline.
Not only is Dave great at his job, but he truly enjoys what he does. He is so passionate about it that he single-handedly took on his very own kitchen remodel a few years ago (and it turned out beautifully!) The attention to detail and high level of quality he poured into his own home after working in our client’s homes all day says so much about his commitment to excellence. Along with his kitchen, Dave has completed several other projects on his home, including a patio cover addition, dormers, and siding replacement. He built a greenhouse using recycled materials and topped it off with a custom irrigation system inside. All this to say – he is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled when it comes to construction.
Aside from his role at Medford and his passion for construction, Dave is a dog lover, a family man, and an all-around good guy. We are happy to have him as a part of our team and as our longest employee!
