The Book Angel non-profit organization (501c3) is hosting the Book Angel Book Walk 2022 coming up in April!
The goal of this wonderful organization is to combat illiteracy in our underserved local communities; to provide and distribute literature and literacy resources to those in need. Another goal is to interact with those communities/community leaders, businesses, and students in the various school districts and learning agencies across the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex during this event. Families will come together to build social connections, while experiencing the book, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss. Also, during the event Book Angel seeks to increase literacy exposure and to demonstrate different ways to make literacy learning fun and exciting for kids.
There will be a narrator, LaTyon Henderson, Ms. All World Beauties International 2021, and interactive activities for each page/station.
The story will be available in both English and Spanish. The Book Walk event will have a host of stations for families to create their own memories, while experiencing positive social interactions, literature, and a copy of the book, along with activities to help recreate the interactive experience at home.
There will be vendor spaces and sponsorship opportunities available. The event is taking place Saturday, April 30, 2022 9am – 2pm at Tarrant County College South Campus.
