Mike’s Guys Home Improvement: The Ease of a Free Virtual Estimate

If there is one common complaint we’ve heard from homeowners throughout the years, it is that they struggled to find a contractor that would follow-up after their initial conversation. Unfortunately, homeowners are often forced to deal with the frustration of waiting for an estimate that never comes. If you’ve ever experienced a disappearing contractor or non-responsive home improvement service, you know how infuriating it is to be seemingly forgotten about when you’re trying to get a project done.

Due to the nature of the work, many home improvement companies or handyman services actually only consist of one or two workers, meaning they can quickly get overloaded with multiple estimates and projects on their schedule. In most cases, they pick and choose the projects they can handle and then forget about the others (without so much as a phone call to the clients they are booting!) The result is a discouraged homeowner that feels stood up and a project that gets put off for weeks, months, or even years longer than intended.

As the professional Small Projects division of Medford Remodeling, Mike’s Guys Home Improvement ensures communication with our clients is a top priority. Not only do we want to give you direct answers about whether or not we can help with your project, but we also strive to get all estimates sent in a timely manner. To help with this, our team has implemented a unique virtual estimating system that allows homeowners to receive estimates for their projects via email, which can expedite the process.

Here’s how easy it is: Fill out the form and upload your photos directly on our website, here. Or, send us an email via the following steps:

1. Take photos of the work you need to be done. This could be anything from damaged exterior siding that needs repair, a room that needs to be painted, or a rotten door that needs replacing. Our team of professionals can address a wide variety of projects, so if you’re not sure if we can help – ask!

Make sure to take 3-5 photos, some close-up, and one or two further away. They need to be clear and in good lighting. If possible, the further away photos need to show the entirety of the object (such as the entire wall to be painted, the entire door/frame to be replaced, etc.)

2. Type out the details of the project within the email. Be descriptive and clear regarding what the current issue is and how you would like it to be resolved. Don’t forget to include any measurements or other applicable details. Also, remember to include your name, property address, and phone number, should we need to contact you for questions.

3. Send your photos and descriptive email to info@remodelmm.com. One of our Mike’s Guys representatives will respond to your email and let you know it was received, and then forward it on to the Production Team for review. If our Estimator needs more information prior to writing the estimate, they will give you a call to discuss. If the project is very complex, it may require an on-site visit and/or additional steps.

So, if you are comfortable with taking photos and sending emails from your cell phone, a virtual estimate is a great alternative to scheduling an on-site consultation! This method allows for a much quicker turn-around time for receiving an estimate. More often than not, our knowledgeable Estimators can review the photos and type up an estimate to be emailed back to you within a few days, without even needing to see your home in person. Not only does this expedite the process for you, but it also makes it significantly faster for our team to get your project into production once you’re ready to move forward.

It’s a win-win for everyone, and best of all, you won’t be left feeling forgotten about!
