A friend recently called in a panic. She was leaving for work, and when she pushed the overhead door opener button, she heard a tremendous BANG, and the door sagged and stopped working. Garage doors are relatively complex; the springs, tracks, rollers, hinges, cables and drive belts all have to work in harmony for the door to operate efficiently. When the door isn’t operating efficiently, it puts a great deal of stress on the springs, and they eventually break, which is an extremely dangerous situation.
