Our recent clients have a gorgeous home just off the lake in Arlington, TX. Many updates had already been made throughout the original 1978 build when the clients initially came to us, and the kitchen was one of the last items on their list to remodel. They knew the space needed a more modern aesthetic to match the rest of the house and the stunning view of the lake from the large breakfast nook windows. Because the layout wasn’t going to change, it was important that the functional and aesthetic modifications were impactful. Custom cabinetry, new backsplash tile, countertops, and updated stainless steel appliances were a few of the items discussed early on. Along with keeping the butcher block countertop on the island, the clients also wanted to keep the existing stainless steel back panel and vent hood with the gas range, which was noted in the designs. Our team began working on the design package to showcase these changes and detail the scope of work required for completion.

Do you have a space that would make more sense with a different layout, or swapped with another room in your home? Such was the case for our recent clients in Keller, TX. Their existing laundry room was in a small, crowded room just off the garage, which made it difficult to use the washer and dryer without being in the way of the door. From the time they purchased the home several years ago, they thought it would be much more functional to have the laundry room in place of the larger mudroom/playroom that was just on the other side of the wall. Turns out, they were absolutely right! Our team was able to help them swap these two spaces, resulting in more functional, usable rooms. Take a look at the blog post to see the transformation!
Do you have two rooms in your home that just seem like they should be swapped? Our recent clients in Keller, Texas, have a beautiful home that was built in 2002. The original laundry room came directly off the garage and was very small, creating a bottleneck of thru traffic. The room also lacked counter space and sufficient storage. Neighboring this tiny laundry room was a much larger room that the previous owner had used as a music room for her piano. Because the clients have two young children, this room became a playroom and makeshift mudroom to store shoes, jackets, and miscellaneous items. From the time the clients moved into the home 4 years ago, they both felt that it made more sense for the larger room to be the laundry room, leaving the smaller room off the garage as a mudroom. They came to us with their issue and the idea of swapping the spaces, and our designers got to work conceptualizing the new floor plan. See the full story in our blog post.
Any complete kitchen remodel involves removing and replacing the cabinetry. Because cabinets make such an impact on the overall appearance of the kitchen, it’s important to consider what door style options are available to best suit your home and your personal taste. Cabinet installation is a custom job that is done onsite, so it’s a very involved process and certainly isn’t cheap. You want to make sure you are completely happy with your choice before you finalize the designs and give the green light to start construction! One of the benefits of our custom design packages is that the 3-D renderings allow you to see precisely how your cabinets will look once the remodel is complete. Our team then works closely with our custom cabinet company, Bailey Cabinets, to ensure the design is installed correctly.
