The Medford Team is always happy to share local community events that positively benefit individuals, groups, or organizations in need. Coming up in March, Health’s Angels Bike MS Cycling Team is hosting a clay shooting tournament in Fort Worth, benefitting the National MS Society!

About the Event:

This fun-filled day will include lunch, drinks, a raffle and prizes, and of course, some healthy competition among friends!

Both experienced and inexperienced shooters are welcome. Participants are required to bring their own guns, and, due to the national shortage of ammunition, they are recommended to bring their own shotgun shells. Mulligans or do-overs will be available for $5 each and can be purchased on-site. Teams will consist of 4 participants, and those that attend individually will be assigned to a team the day of the event. Please note that shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The winning teams will be awarded prizes, as will the top male and top female shooters of the day. Read more

How Much Will My Home Remodel Cost?

The first and most important question you should answer before starting any type of home remodel is how much it will realistically cost. Typically, there isn’t a straight-forward answer to that question without scheduling an on-site consultation and paying for a detailed estimate and design. Because no two projects and no two homeowners are the same, the total cost of your project will depend on multiple variables. This means that even if your neighbor a few houses down has the exact same floor plan as you, built in the same year, your total cost could come in more or less than theirs simply based on your unique scope of work. You also must consider the level of remodeling you intend to do – whether it is a full-gut project that involves moving walls and rearranging the original footprint, or if you just want to update the space you have with new paint, tile, counters, etc. The types of materials, finishes, hardware, and appliances you choose also impacts the final price. For example, two homeowners with the same kitchen layout will have different totals if one chooses standard elements, such as a basic undermount sink and chrome faucet, and the other chooses high-end elements, such as a farmhouse-style sink with a brushed gold faucet. Of course, everyone wants the more expensive options often featured on HGTV renovation shows. Unfortunately, these shows tend to create unrealistic expectations regarding the actual costs, timelines, and processes involved in home remodeling. Read more

A 27-Year-Old Master Bathroom Gets a New Look

27 years old may sound young, but certainly not when you’re talking about the age of a bathroom! Our recent clients in Colleyville, Texas, came to us at the end of last year with hopes of renovating their 1993 master bathroom. The original bathroom was a good size and was fully functional, but the clients felt the aesthetic needed a refresh to match the rest of their beautiful home. Along with a new look, they specified the need for more storage space, both in the vanity area and in the master walk-in closet. The number of drawers, cabinets, and shelving may seem like minor details, but these are the types of things that impact the way you use your space on a daily basis. You don’t always have to change the floor plan or make huge structural modifications to make your home more functional! Read more
