If there is one thing we have learned since introducing our handyman division – Mike’s Guys – it’s that some homeowners tend to associate the term “handyman” with “inexpensive” as a means to get large projects done for less. This isn’t completely wrong; Mike’s Guys was established with the purpose of providing assistance with smaller projects that typically cost less than major remodels. Our goal is to provide professional service and high-end results for small remodels, home maintenance, and repair projects—the same great service and results that you would expect from Medford Design-Build for major remodels!
This month’s project spotlight is on our recently completed 1990’s master bathroom remodel in North Richland Hills. The original bathroom was very dated (we’re talking pink wallpaper!) and was way past due for a refresh. The updated design includes custom vanities, a frameless glass shower, a 60″ drop-in soaker tub, LED can lighting, and more! Check out the blog for the full details of this beautiful remodel!
Our recent clients wanted to be able to close off their dining area from the neighboring sunroom without losing the natural light it provided. They shared an inspiration photo with us and we were able to install a wall with identical sliding glass doors and luxury vinyl plank flooring in the newly created hallway. The finished project looks great and our clients are thrilled!!
If there’s one thing that we all know, it’s that home remodeling is not a one-person job! As we have mentioned many times before, the Medford Team is beyond grateful for all of our fantastic trade professionals, vendors, and suppliers that work with us on a regular basis. It would not be possible to complete our high-quality projects without them! Many of these individuals have worked with us for over 20 years and have developed trusted relationships and meaningful friendships with each of us. As a luxury remodeler, we require those that work with us to maintain a high level of pride in what they do; we wholeheartedly believe that the qualities of our final products are directly related to the individuals we choose to work with, so when we say we have a GREAT team, we mean it!
Being in the remodeling industry, we have regretfully heard story after story from homeowners that have had terrible experiences with their previous contractors. It never ceases to amaze us how many people have been lied to, deceived, and taken advantage of by so-called “remodeling professionals.” As unfortunate as it is, it’s true that there are contractors out there that will do whatever it takes to get your money. Not only do they lack integrity in their word, but also in the quality of their work. It’s no wonder the term “contractor” tends to put a sour taste in homeowner’s mouths!
